Privacy Policy

ChoiceTide ("we") is a Google Forms™ editor add-on published by Pratik Poddar, an individual developer. This policy explains what data ChoiceTide accesses, why, and what happens to it.

Summary

ChoiceTide runs inside Google Apps Script under your Google account. It reads the spreadsheets you choose and updates the questions on the form where you installed it. We do not run our own servers for your form or sheet data, we do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.

Google permissions we request and why

View and manage forms in which this application has been installed (forms.currentonly)	To list the form's choice questions, update their options, and count responses for choice limits. Only the form the add-on is used in.
See, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app (drive.file)	To read the spreadsheets you pick with Google's file picker, and to create a starter spreadsheet when you ask for one. ChoiceTide cannot see any other file in your Drive.
Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars (script.container.ui)	To show the ChoiceTide sidebar and the file picker inside Google Forms.
Allow this application to run when you are not present (script.scriptapp)	To run the scheduled and after-each-response refreshes you turn on.
Send email as you (script.send_mail)	Only to send you (the form owner) an alert when a refresh fails, if you enable alerts. Emails go only to your own address.
Connect to an external service (script.external_request)	To read spreadsheet values through the Google Sheets API, and to check a Pro licence key with our payment provider, Dodo Payments.
See your primary Google Account email address (userinfo.email)	To address error alerts to you and to label your licence activation.

Data we store

• Settings (which question is linked to which spreadsheet range, refresh schedule, limits) and a short sync log are saved in the form's Apps Script document properties, inside your Google account.
• Licence key (if you buy Pro) is saved in your Apps Script user properties.
• Spreadsheet values and form responses are read only at sync time to build the choice list and counts. They are not copied anywhere else.

Data shared with third parties

When you activate or re-check a Pro licence, ChoiceTide sends your licence key and a label containing your Google account email to Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com), our merchant of record, which processes purchases under its own privacy policy. Nothing from your forms or spreadsheets is sent to Dodo Payments or anyone else.

Google API Services User Data Policy

ChoiceTide's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Uninstalling ChoiceTide stops all access. To remove stored settings, unlink questions in the sidebar before uninstalling, or remove the add-on's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Starter spreadsheets ChoiceTide created stay in your Drive until you delete them. Email us to delete licence records held by Dodo Payments.

Children

ChoiceTide is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
